Joe
Watson, former Circuit Judge and former Thirteenth Circuit
Solicitor, now serves as Counsel with the law firm of Price,
Paschal and Ashmore. Watson's practice includes general litigation
in all civil and criminal courts.
Watson is a lifelong resident of Greenville and completed
the Greenville County public schools. He then attended Furman
University where he lettered in swimming. He received a Bachelor's
Degree in 1975. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from
the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1978 and
was admitted to the South Carolina Bar that same year. Upon
graduation from law school, he began working as an Assistant
Solicitor in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. In 1982, he
left the Solicitor's office and established a private law
practice. He is a member of the Greenville County Bar Association
and the South Carolina Bar Association. Watson has been admitted
to practice in the United States District Court of South Carolina,
the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States
Supreme Court.
